Plato might be dead but his ideas are a living entity rejuvenating on the principle of eternal recurrence ...... his views about the nature of the government and the governed are still food for thought of the 21st century postmodern man. his categorization of constitutions of states are even today applicable to our country in particular... the present state of geopolitical affairs makes it manifest the democracy, though loathed by Plato, is far from realization in every corner of the world including those big fish pretending to be the champions of democracy and human rights and what other positive labels they can attach with themselves turning a blind eye to the worst of crimes against humanity they have been committing since their rise to prominence on international scene. most of the developed states are oligarchies supported by a huge structure of faceless bureaucracy with a hue of timocracy owing to fixed number of years in every public service or political institution.......and the other relatively less developed portion of the world having a plethora of various forms of constitutions perhaps in line with the disposition of the people of their respective countries. some are theocratic, others tyrannies or aristocracies but none of them democratic in true sense of the word ...... enough with the transnational musings. let us come to the point. what about our country? in my opinion, it is a timocracy with a fixed number of dwindling and uncertain numbers of years in the political as well as public service institutions
