.....in the postmodern era where information revolution has changed the traditional ways of thoughts and perceptions, no doubt people are far more informed and integrated with newly emerging ideas and technological innovations on the whole globe but its negative aspects cannot be neglected in favor of chauvinism with modernity and innovative change. the kind of chaos and absurdity it has given way to is the most serious psychic problem of modern man owing to lack of certainty because of the thriving cult of relativity. the humans who by nature tend to cling to some real or perceived absolute truths, relatively stable beliefs and value systems are confronted with an ever changing and challenging explosion of ideas themselves subject to further questioning. one can take any issue under the sun for investigation, he will find an innumerable constellation of contradictory but equally convincing viewpoints that eventually lead towards meaninglessness. the concept of self around which all the psychic energy revolves is reduced to nothing more than a fleeting impression of ever changing sensations further entrenching the lost generations into the recesses of sheer absurdity. the role of mass media in facilitating absurdity is perhaps major determinant of the present condition of psychological uncertainty. the dominant media is exploiting the opportunity to shape public opinion for fostering unheard of stereotypes and prejudices and going a long way in creating ever new realities and at the same time utterly negating the long cherished realities. search for truth has proved to be nothing more than an unjustifiable cry for moon. the best one can do is just take sides with one version of perception or the other. boudrellard is mighty right in conjecturing that the biggest problem of modern era is overproduction..... overproduction of goods and services, knowledge and information or whatever. too much information is tentamount to no information because no opinion is final but dominant mode of thinking waiting for its antithesis in order to be inverted. the thing worth observation, under present state of human existance, is how long man withstands this baffling sense of sheer confusion........
